Judith's work came to my attention, when she designed some pieces for the Mary Meyer Company. Those pieces were barely on the shelf, 'til they were adopted.
A couple of years passed and I met Judith at a show in Lancaster. There wasn't a piece on her table that I didn't long to have. She is such a friendly, fun person, and her work surely reflects this.
The creativity she posesses is amazing. Bears are a small part of her imagination taking a living form. Her chimpanzies were a five year work in progress, until she was satisfied with them. They are by far, the best I have ever seen! Lions, rabbits and many other creatures occupy space in Judith's brain, all waiting to see the light of our world. I can almost hear them screaming, "Me, make me !" Judith adds even more dimension by making many of her "children" with fully poseable limbs. Every new pose adds a different dimension to their personality.
Each year, I try to add new artists to the shoppe. It is a slow process, as I cannot possibly afford all of them at once. Finally, some of Judith's pieces are here! They are waiting to be adopted, however, I am in no hurry to see them go! They make me smile and are a great addition to the shoppe.
