CREATOR OF "CONTENTED HEARTS" OF NEW JERSEY
Kathy lives in New Jersey, with her husband, Rick, and their
furry feline, "Pudd". After making her first bear in 1990, she gave up the corporate world
for that of a teddy bear artist. Her teddies are made exclusively by her, therefore
production is limited. In addition to her own business "Contented Hearts", she assists with
her husbands greenhouse enterprise. From early spring until late summer, she travels to
help market the flowers. Thus, her bears are all the more valued, as there are far fewer of them
produced each year.
The bears range from six inches to thirty-two inches in size. All of the designs are original and
created by Kathy. She insists on the finest imported fabrics and materials. Great attention
is paid to the detail of each soulful teddy bear face. She says,"Everyone is searching for what makes
their heart content, and for me it is creating teddy bears that touch a heart."
Her bears touched my heart from the minute I saw them! If you look at them, you can see the
resemblance of Kathy's face in theirs. Their sweet faces show the love and care she give to
each one she creates. They are wonderful works of art!
